If someone had told me sixty years ago that I would end up being an integral part of Los Angeles history, I would have laughed. My whole career began as an accident. The original plan was to go into law at USC. However, upon arriving at the campus, I noticed that the registration line went out the door and around the corner. After my years in the Navy and standing in endless lines, I made a promise to myself that I’d never stand in another line. Goodbye law school, hello broadcasting. KTLA’s News At 10: Sixty Years with Stan Chambers is about my serendipitous journey with KTLA and the stories that influenced Los Angeles and the world. I hope you enjoy my book and looking through my Web site. I look forward to hearing from you.
